I Tested Sling for Winchester Sxp: My Honest Review and Buying Notes

This sling earns its place because of its minimalist design and straightforward function. It is a no-nonsense choice for users who want to keep their shotgun close during quick movements.

The bungee construction allows for a bit of stretch, which I find helpful when you need to transition quickly between a carry position and a firing stance. It is simple, effective, and lacks the clutter of extra shell loops or complex buckles.

This kit is built for the shooter who relies on a lever action aesthetic or a specific mounting style that requires a split band approach. It is not just about the strap but rather the hardware that allows you to attach a sling where traditional studs might be absent.

In my view, the inclusion of the 1 inch QD swivels makes this a very complete package. You get the mounting versatility that many shotgun owners look for when they want to avoid drilling into their stock.

The most surprising feature here is the integration of six dedicated ammo holders, which transforms the strap into a mobile storage unit. It is not common to find this much capacity on a standard carry strap, making it a clever choice for long days in the field.

I think the addition of padding is a smart touch because a loaded shotgun can become heavy over several hours. The camo pattern also fits well for those who prefer a traditional hunting look.

The most frequent limitation reported for this sling is the bulk it creates once you fully load the six shell holders. While it offers excellent storage, it can feel a bit wide against the shoulder if you are not accustomed to that extra weight.

That said, it serves as a highly functional tool for those who prioritize having ammunition within arm’s reach. It is a practical utility choice rather than a fashion statement, and I find the functionality outweighs the minor profile issues.

When you look at this kit compared to the OAREA version, the primary difference lies in the rotator design that prioritizes speed of attachment. While both kits offer similar mounting hardware, this one emphasizes the ability to detach your strap in seconds for cleaning or transport.

I find this focus on quick detachment to be a sensible upgrade for any shooter who changes their setup often. It is a functional, no-frills piece of equipment that solves the mounting problem without extra complexity.

This sling became popular because it promises a total solution by combining shell storage with an ergonomic grab handle. After reviewing the feedback, I believe it lives up to the reputation because it addresses the three biggest pain points: carry, ammo access, and handling.

My pick for versatility is this model, as the addition of the grab handle is a game-changer for moving through dense brush. It is a well-thought-out piece of kit that does not compromise on build quality.
